The City of Largo, Directions for Living, Career Source are among the Tampa Bay
area businesses who received awards for creating Family Friendly workplaces.
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL (November 2020) – Family Friendly Pinellas, a Thrive by Five initiative and
subsidiary of Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County, recently launched its exclusive Family Friendly Business Award®. The Family Friendly Business Award® is a trademark-registered award recognizing businesses in Pinellas County creating friendly workplace environments for families.
Local businesses awarded were City of Largo, Directions for Living, Career Source Pinellas, YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg, Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas, Hope Village of America, T's Future Stars Early Learning Childcare, and nine other early learning centers throughout Pinellas County. Businesses were recognized for implementing family-friendly policies such as paid leave, healthcare plans, flexible schedules, tuition assistance, 401K matching and competitive wages to ensure a healthy, whole, and productive workplace. Businesses were able to earn a bronze, silver, gold, or platinum award designation.
Family Friendly Pinellas is a local initiative developed to recognize companies that have adopted policies that give Pinellas County businesses and organizations an advantage in recruiting and retaining the best employees. Pinellas’ leaders understand the importance of a well-educated, balanced and healthy workforce to support a strong local economy and to keep Pinellas County competitive and vibrant.
Through the inclusive lens of Family Friendly Workplace policies, employers not only support the workforce of today, but also lay the groundwork for the workforce of tomorrow.
