The popular ferry service will kickoff its fourth season with focus on passenger safety.
Tampa, Fla., Oct. 30, 2020 – The Cross Bay Ferry returns for its fourth season beginning Sunday, November 1 and running through April 30, 2021 sailing between the Tampa Convention Center and St. Petersburg’s Vinoy Yacht Basin.
“We’re excited to return to Tampa Bay,” said Matt Miller, President of HMS Ferries. “Passenger safety aboard The Cross Bay Ferry is our number one priority.”
The new season will have increased safety precautions during COVID-19, following all CDC guidelines.
Masks will be required at all times when inside the ferry cabin, with certain seats roped off to encourage social distancing. High traffic touch points, such as door handles and rails, will be wiped down and sanitized in between every trip. The Cross Bay Ferry team will continue to monitor the situation and adjust as needed.
“We’re looking forward to connecting Tampa and St. Petersburg by water in a safe and reliable way,” said Kevin Fisher, General Manager of HMS Ferries.
This year, the ferry will run Wednesday through Sunday, with 4 stacked departure times at both locations on Fridays and Saturdays. The full ferry schedule is available online at www.TheCrossBayFerry.com.
