Tampa Bay Watch selected as a 2020 One Tampa Bay honoree




Tierra Verde, FL - The Tampa Bay Business Journal has selected Tampa Bay Watch to be an honoree for One Tampa Bay, an award that honors nonprofit organizations and for-profit companies for their philanthropic efforts. This year’s

 class features 17 corporate philanthropy honorees and 21 nonprofit organizations, out of over 220 nominations. These awards bring together the region’s nonprofit organizations with the companies going above and beyond when it comes to giving back to the community.

Peter A. Clark, President and Founder of Tampa Bay Watch, Inc. states, “Tampa Bay Watch is honored to be recognized along with fellow nonprofits and corporate partners making a significant impact in Tampa Bay.”  

Incorporated in 1993, Tampa Bay Watch performs habitat restoration and protection activities throughout the year, relying heavily on the efforts of community volunteers. These programs seek to build citizen awareness, concern and participation through environmental outreach. Tampa Bay Watch recently opened its second facility, Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center, at the new St. Pete Pier™. The Discovery Center offers an interactive visitor experience showcasing the economic, ecological and recreational value of the Tampa Bay estuary to residents and visitors as well as an academic component that expands environmental and educational outreach programs to Tampa Bay area schools, residents, and visitors.
