Summer and fall registration is open

Current and future students can now register for the summer and fall semesters at St. Petersburg College. Classes are offered over six, eight or 10 weeks. SPC’s summer Express Session starts on June 15. For more information, visit here.

Attorney Benjamin Crump to speak virtually at SPC on June 23

Criminal justice attorney Benjamin Crump will be featured on a virtual program called Criminal Justice Reform: Progress and Challenges hosted by Institute for Strategic Policy Solutions at SPC.  The event will be hosted from 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. on June 23 on Zoom.

Crump, who is currently representing the families of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd, will offer glimpses of the disturbing accounts revealed in his book Open Season: Legalized Genocide of Colored People.  He will discuss civil rights in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the Breonna Taylor, Pamela Turner, Arbery and Floyd cases. Also offering a look at local statistics, progress and efforts for reform will be Sixth Judicial Circuit Public Defender-Elect Sara Mollo. Click here to register for the event.

Upcoming online summer program at St. Petersburg College

SPC’s Summer of Success online program starts June 15

SPC’s Summer of Success is a six-week "introduction to college" online program for graduating seniors from Pinellas County and Pasco County high schools. Students enrolled in the program have the chance to earn college credits, explore different career opportunities, make new friends and more. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up soon!
