Summer and fall registration is open

Current and future students can now register for the summer and fall semesters at St. Petersburg College. Classes are offered over six, eight or 10 weeks. Summer term start dates include:

  • Weekend College - May 23
  • 8-Week Session – June 1
  • Express Session – June 15

AdventHealth opens COVID-19 testing site at SPC’s Tarpon Springs Campus

St. Petersburg College’s Tarpon Springs Campus will serve as a COVID-19 testing site for AdventHealth West Florida Division beginning Tuesday, May 19. Testing will be open and available during the following time frames:

  • SPC Tarpon Springs: Tuesday, May 19, Noon – 4 p.m. and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. each weekday thereafter

A doctor’s order is not required for testing. Registration is required at AdventHealthCoronavirusTesting.com or 866-694-5503 prior to arrival. Updated testing will consist of a non-invasive, self-administered nasal swab instead of the previous saliva sample. There are no out-of-pocket costs for the test, regardless of insurance status. AdventHealth will continue to cover the cost of those who are uninsured.

Business Community Roundtable on May 21

St. Petersburg College will host a virtual Business Community Roundtable from 11 a.m. – Noon Thursday, May 21. Participants will hear from industry leaders on the impact of COVID-19 and learn best practices. The roundtable will include:

  • Identify your priority workforce needs and the new skills needed for success
  • Share lessons learned and discuss challenges ahead
  • Brainstorm on urgent training needs, industry certificates and how SPC can best support you

Virtual Information Technology Roundtable on May 22

Remote working has become an immediate reality for many businesses due to COVID-19.

St. Petersburg College and IT professionals will host a virtual convening with local businesses on how to leverage digital technology. This interactive webinar will be hosted from 11 a.m. – Noon on Friday, May 22, will include discussion on how workforce needs are changing, and explore SPC’s educational solutions. The virtual roundtable will include:

  • An opportunity to share lessons learned with other technology professionals and to discuss the challenges ahead
  • Information regarding SPC’s current programs, certification offerings and equipment/technology
  • Brainstorming sessions on topics such as urgent technology training needs, industry certificates and how SPC can best support you

Upcoming online summer programs at St. Petersburg College

SPC offers free college credits online for high school graduates during the summer

St. Petersburg College’s Summer Bridge Program will kick off June 1- July 24. This online program is an opportunity for underrepresented males who graduated high school in 2020 to earn free college credit while exploring in-demand career fields. SPC’s Summer of Success online program starts June 15

SPC’s Summer of Success is a six-week "introduction to college" online program for graduating seniors from Pinellas County Schools and Pasco County Schools high schools. Students enrolled in the program have the chance to earn college credits, explore different career opportunities, make new friends, and more. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up soon!
