Kenwood's Organic Produce Ribbon Cutting

Join St. Petersburg zero-waste, organic produce stand for a celebatory ribbon cutting thrown by St. Pete's Chamber of Commerce on March 19, 2019 from 5:30-7:00. There will be yummy local produce to sample and homemade salsa. You can chat with local food producers and growers while you enjoy the beginning of their community courtyard. Children are welcome. Permiculturists, foodies, and urban growers are encouraged to speak with owners, Keevy McAlavy and Marcile Powers, about future collaborations. This is a great chance to meet like-minded individuals looking to change the future of St. Petersburg.

Kenwood's Organic Produce first opened in November, but didn't have their community courtyard up and running until February. Now they are ready to host family yoga, zero-waste meet-ups, discussions on bio-hacking, and many other types of community events. If you are interested in collaborating to improve the space or to host an event, please email them at kenwoodorganic@gmail.com. Deputy Mayor Dr. Kanika Tomalin will facilitate the ribbon cutting on March 19th with Chamber of Commerce President/CEO, Chris Steinocher at 6 PM.
