ST. PETERSBURG, FL (April 5, 2018) – There’s still time to join Deputy Mayor Dr. Kanika Tomalin and make the commitment to be healthy by participating in this year’s Healthy St. Pete Fit City Celebration on Saturday, April 7, in North Straub Park. The event gets underway at 7:30 a.m. with a chip-timed 5k and one-mile walk, followed by free fitness demonstrations, health and wellness vendors, a kids’ zone and more. North Straub Park is located at 400 Bayshore Dr. NE.

Registrations for individuals or teams are still being accepted through tomorrow, April 6, at www.healthystpetefl.com. The fee to register for the 5k is $17.50, which includes a $2.50 convenience fee, or $7 for the one-mile walk, which includes a $2 convenience fee. Registrations will also be accepted at Saturday’s event, but the 5k registration price increases to $20.
Commemorative finisher’s medals will be awarded to participants in either the 5k or one mile walk; with a limit of one medal per participant. All participants registering through April 7 will receive t-shirts, though sizes are limited.
