TEC Garage Announces Fall Series of CO.STARTERS
National Business Development Platform helps grow local businesses

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- (Oct. 4, 2016) -- TEC Garage, the newest concept for accelerating entrepreneurial success from Tampa Bay Innovation Center, will be holding the next series of CO.STARTERS, a nationally renowned business development platform that helps local communities grow their businesses. TEC Garage is accepting applications now for the nineweek program, which begins Oct. 18, 2016.

“CO.STARTERS is a unique entrepreneurial program that equips aspiring entrepreneurs with the practical insights, relationships and tools needed to turn their business ideas into action,” says Tonya Elmore, CEO of Tampa Bay Innovation Center. “Our region is well served by our participation in this program, which is also offered by more than a dozen other entrepreneurial organizations across the country to support local communities in growing their businesses.”
In addition to entrepreneurs in the technology industry, CO.STARTERS has proven to be beneficial to those in the creative sector and artists. Duke Energy Foundation has provided funding for 16 scholarships to aspiring entrepreneurs in the art, healthcare, technology and creative industries.

Unlike traditional platforms, CO.STARTERS applies the lean business modeling methods popular among high-growth startups to businesses of all kinds. The program is facilitated by Chris Paradies, president of Paradies Law, P.A.

CO.STARTERS will be held on Tuesdays for nine weeks, from 6-9 p.m. at TEC Garage, 244 2nd Ave. North, St. Petersburg 33701. The cost is $275 and scholarships are available. For information, contact 727-547-7340.

CO.STARTERS originated with The Company Lab, a Chattanooga, Tenn. organization that offers programs and events to support local startups and innovators, acting as a catalyst for a healthy entrepreneurial community. The CO.STARTERS model has been tested for years with thousands of local creative entrepreneurs in Chattanooga, Cincinnati and Detroit, and is now available to help other startup communities across the nation.
