City Seeks Qualified Firms for Education, Entrepreneurial-Workforce And Enrichment Second Chances Training Programs

St. Petersburg, Fla. (August 22, 2016) – The city of St. Petersburg is moving forward with efforts to invest in the growth and success of South St. Petersburg – focusing on two invaluable assets, our residents and our businesses. City officials are seeking proposals from entities or individuals who can create and implement three new initiatives including educational training, entrepreneurship-workforce programs and enrichment training opportunities for African American males.

In conjunction with the mayor’s new Cohort of Champions Initiative, under the My Brother’s and Sister’s Keeper umbrella of programs, this is the next step in providing opportunities; preparing our African American boys and young men for the future; and developing a trained, qualified and ready workforce necessary for businesses, industry and employers to succeed.

The city invites qualified firms to submit proposals for the Cohort of Champions Initiative – to include the development of Educational, Entrepreneurial and Enrichment Second Chances Training Programs for African American males.

Organizations or individuals who can develop and provide such programs are encouraged to attend a Pre-Proposal Conference for RPF-6180 on Tuesday, August 30, at 5:30 p.m. at the Enoch Davis Center, 1111 18th Avenue South.
