ST. PETERSBURG, FL (July 28, 2016) - What would you do if an active shooter threatened your workplace, school campus, shopping center or other public area? Registrations are being accepted for tonight's free Active Shooter community training program at the Coliseum, 535 Fourth Ave. N.

Attendees will learn strategies, tips and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event from a St. Petersburg Police department instructor. The program is open to all ages, but parental guidance is suggested as parts of the presentation may contain sensitive images and language. Tonight's program is hosted by the city of St. Petersburg Police and Fire departments.
