Public Invited To Reception Celebrating Visiting Japanese Student Ambassadors

PUBLIC INVITED TO RECEPTION CELEBRATING VISITING JAPANESE STUDENT AMBASSADORS

St. Petersburg, FL (July 21, 2016) - The city of St. Petersburg is celebrating the 55th anniversary of its Sister City relationship with Takamatsu, Japan, and is partnering with St. Petersburg International Folk Fair Society, Inc.
(SPIFFS), to facilitate the Sister Cities program. As part of a cultural exchange between St. Petersburg and Takamatsu, three Japanese Student Ambassadors will spend ten days in St. Petersburg, from July 25 to August 3, promoting their city and learning about St. Petersburg.

On Tuesday, August 2, SPIFFS will host a farewell reception for the students, with presentations about Takamatsu and folk dance performances by SPIFFS member groups. The public is invited to enjoy this multi-ethnic event.
