Clearwater Marine Aquarium - Winter's Gallery of Hope Grand Opening

Cozi Zuehlsdorff and kids inspired by Winter to launch new Inspiration Gallery

Clearwater, FL (July 19, 2016) – Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) will debut a new exhibit at its downtown facility, Winter’s Dolphin Tale Adventure. The grand opening for “Winter’s Gallery of Hope” will be revealed at on Friday, July 22nd. Media are invited to cover the event.

Winter’s Gallery of Hope is a collection of original letters, pictures, and testimonials from people all over the world who have been inspired by Winter’s journey. From young, aspiring marine biologists to US veterans who have overcome limb loss, guests will be able to immerse themselves in the stories of real people whose lives have been changed at CMA.

A few of these special families will actually be in attendance for the gallery’s debut. Annika “Anni” Emmert, age 11 from California, received a special surprise at CMA last year, when her new 3D-printed arm was delivered to her in the company of dolphins Winter and Hope. Levi Larochelle, age 16, whose autism connection with Winter was featured in the documentary “Winter, the Dolphin that Can”, will also be attending the grand opening.

The gallery is expected to grow as inspiration continues to find its way to Winter’s mailbox. Interactive elements will be gradually incorporated into Winter’s Dolphin Tale Adventure, allowing new guests to share their personal connections with Winter each day.

The grand opening VIP party begins at 12:00pm, with a 12:30pm curtain drop. Media are encouraged to arrive no later than 12:00pm. Cozi Zuehlsdorff, the young actress who played “Hazel Haskett” in the Dolphin Tale films, will attend the opening before her guest appearances, also happening at Winter’s Dolphin Tale Adventure.
