Groundbreaking for Clearwater East Community Library at St. Petersburg College
St. Petersburg College and the City of Clearwater are partnering to develop a new joint-use community library on the Clearwater Campus. The state-of-the-art, two story building will be an open-space concept, which will replace the existing facility built in 1964. The 15 million dollar library will contain more than 90,000 electronics and print books. The opening remarks will be by Dr. Bill Law, President of St. Petersburg College and Mr. George Cretekos, Mayor for City of Clearwater.
The groundbreaking will be:

Drone training offered by St. Petersburg College for 3,000 new jobs in Florida
A change in Federal Aviation Administration regulations for drone operators is expected to bring Florida 3,000 new jobs and $632 million in economic impact by 2017 (Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International). Overall, more than 100,000 Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) jobs over the next 10 years are expected to make an economic impact of $82 billion.
The Workforce Institute at St. Petersburg College is hosting:

Project Management Certification Exam Prep Class by Workforce Institute at St. Petersburg College
The Workforce Institute at St. Petersburg College is hosting a 6-week face-to-face Project management Certification Exam Prep Class. The class is designed to provide non-degree seeking professionals the knowledge and educational hour requirement needed to sit for and pass the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) PMP or CAPM certification exam. The prep class will be:
• 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• July 16-August 20 (Every Saturday)
