IMMERSIVE ART-FOR-ALL CARAVAN ROLLS THROUGH ST PETE;
a celebration of creativity & philanthropy for Give Day Tampa Bay

St. Petersburg, FL (April 27, 2016) – NOMADstudio, Inc., a mobile art outreach nonprofit, joins Give Day Tampa Bay on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 and leads an Art-for-All caravan throughout St. Petersburg in celebration of creative expression and philanthropy. Caravan participants include local artists, musicians and community advocates; the public is encouraged to join. Each stop will last approximately an hour during which passers-by can express their creativity by painting the NOMAD Art Bus for free. They will also be invited to join a drum circle facilitated by Giving Tree Music, who will be traveling along to provide the heartbeat for the Art-for-All caravan.

The journey begins at the Morean Art Center, 719 Central Avenue, at 10:30 a.m. From there the caravan is expected to make stops at other art-centric locations along both Central Avenue and Beach Drive. In the afternoon it heads to Midtown, South St. Pete, and the Edge District, making several stops before wrapping up its journey at an after party in the Grand Central District when the Art Bus arrives at at Sly Bar, 2061 Central Avenue, at around 9 p.m. Bus painting will continue at Sly Bar until midnight, when Give Day Tampa Bay officially ends, or until the paint runs out, whichever comes first. Throughout the day NOMADstudio will post real-time location and donation updates from their Twitter, Instagram, (@nomadartbus), and Facebook (facebook.com/nomadartbus).

Give Day Tampa Bay is a 24-hour, online giving event, designed to increase philanthropy in the Tampa Bay area and raise awareness of the amazing work local nonprofits do in this community. The idea to mobilize NOMADstudio’s Give Day campaign mirrors its mission to bring art to all. Donations collected on this day will stay in the Tampa Bay community where NOMADstudio provides democratic access to art programming (tools, supplies & education). Their outreach work brings them to group foster homes, schools in underserved neighborhoods, after school programs for at-risk youth, and structured living facilities for adults working to recover from alcoholism, drug abuse, incarceration and homelessness.

To donate during Give Day Tampa Bay visit www.GiveDay.org on May 3, 2016 and find NOMAD Art Bus or your favorite local nonprofit in the list of participating organizations. All Give Day donations are tax-deductible and will remain here in the Tampa Bay area.
