Creative Clay joins Give Day Tampa Bay and urges area residents to give locally on May 3, 2016
St. Petersburg, Fla. – Creative Clay, Inc., is proud to be participating in the third annual Give Day Tampa Bay on May 3, 2016, and we are encouraging residents to donate to us in our efforts to continue to make the arts accessible to all.
Creative Clay’s vision is to make the arts accessible for all. Creative Clay’s mission is to provide educational, expressive and vocational opportunities in the arts for people with obstacles to arts access. We serve people with developmental, physical and emotional disabilities, as well as people in healthcare settings, children, veterans, and provide outreach art experiences in our community.
All money raised on this day will stay in the Tampa Bay community. Give Day Tampa Bay is a 24-hour, online giving event, designed to increase philanthropy in the Tampa Bay area and raise awareness of the amazing work local nonprofits do in this community. This is the third year that the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay has sponsored this event, which raised $1.75 million for 550 Tampa Bay area nonprofits last year.
Donations to Creative Clay on Give Day Tampa Bay will help us continue to offer quality programs for our artists, who have developmental, physical and intellectual disabilities, including the hiring of professional teaching artists, purchase of new art supplies, expansion of quality programming and exhibiting our artists’ work throughout the Tampa Bay area.
This year, Creative Clay is once again joining with CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) to raise funds together on Give Day at Green Bench Brewing in the EDGE District of St. Petersburg. From 4-7 p.m. on May 3, patrons will receive a free raffle ticket for every $25 donation and one (1) beer ticket per person.
In addition to raising awareness of the participating nonprofits, Give Day Tampa Bay offers cash prizes to the participants with the most donations, another reason to give on May 3.
“Give Day Tampa Bay is a wonderful opportunity for the community to support the work of the many non-profits in the area. Our goal is to raise funds for our programs that serve people of all ages with developmental disabilities and increase our footprint to provide art access for all,” said Kim Dohrman, Creative Clay CEO.
It’s simple to give during Give Day Tampa Bay. Simply visit www.GiveDay.org on May 3, 2016 and find (name of organization) in the list of participating organizations. All donations made are tax-deductible and will remain here in the Tampa Bay area.
About Give Day Tampa Bay
