Mayor’s Youth Showcase of Achievement

Do you know top notch students in middle or high school who should be celebrated? TASCO Teen Programs is searching for the best of the best in eight categories: Scholar Athlete, Overcoming Adversity, Performing Arts, Academic Achievement, Citizenship or Leadership, Visual Arts, Literary Arts and Science & Technology. Sixteen students are awarded a $750 prize package including a floridacentral Credit Union savings account and an iPad mini. Thirty-two runner-up teens receive a $300 prize package.

Students must apply by Friday, April 29, so don’t delay. See application at www.stpete.org/teenawards or stop by the TASCO office, 1320 5th Street North. The TASCO Center for Teen Technology is also available for technical assistance with the application process. Make an appointment by calling 727-892-5877.

The Mayor’s Youth Showcase of Achievement event highlights Pinellas County’s most talented students at the Mahaffey Theater with performances, accolades, visuals and awards on Thursday, May 26. All applicants are invited to attend. Winners are announced on the night of the show. Open to the public. For free admission or inquiries, call TASCO at 727-892-5060.
