All Children’s Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine Celebrates 90 years with Historic Announcement
All Children’s Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine will host a celebration of its 90 year anniversary and the official unveiling of its new name and logo. Founded in 1926, the American Legion Hospital for Crippled Children cared for children with polio and other crippling disorders. After development of the polio vaccine, the hospital re-opened in 1967 as All Children’s Hospital, dedicated to meeting a wide range of medical needs for infants, children and teens. Over the next few decades All Children’s Hospital continued to expand its ability to care for the region’s most critically ill children and refine its mission to serve patients through treatment, education, research and advocacy. In, 2011, All Children’s Hospital became the only U.S. hospital outside of the Baltimore/Washington D.C. metro area to join Johns Hopkins Medicine.
