GENEROSITY OF CHILDREN A PLUSH SUCCESS

St. Petersburg, FL (March 8, 2016) Children at 11 recreation centers in St. Petersburg teamed up to gather thousands of stuffed animals for children in need. The youth council members wanted to help children who are abused by involving the community in a donation to the Suncoast Center. When children come in for state mandated abuse exams they can be very scared. Stuffed animals in new or newer condition are used to help soothe the children. Total collection from the city recreation centers takes place this Wednesday, and will be delivered to Fiona Rodgers at Suncoast Center, 2960 Roosevelt Blvd. Clearwater, at approximately 3:45 p.m. Once the stuffed animals are unloaded, some of the children who organized the collection will take photos with Feona Rodgers at the Suncoast Center. Sponsored by city of St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation.
