ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- Eight local chefs have been selected to participate in the 2016 Top Local Chef + Tampa Bay Marketplace, the area’s top foodies event organized by LocalShops1.
Each chef will be asked to create a new dish using Florida Valencia Oranges. The chefs will then bring their dishes to LocalShops1’s sixth annual Top Local Chef event, which takes place 5-7 pm Sunday, April 24, 2016, at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom, 5500 Shore Blvd in Gulfport.
The event is hosted by emcee Janet Keeler, visiting assistant professor and coordinator of food writing and photography graduate certificate at USF St Petersburg.

The chefs will be judged by a panel of food experts and journalists:
