St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce® to Host Legislative Recap

FEBRUARY 29, 2016 | St. Petersburg, FL – The 2016 Legislative Reception, an annual event of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce® will be held on March 16th, 2016. With the 2016 Legislative Session closing on March 11th, the event will act as a recap of what was accomplished and how individuals and businesses in St. Petersburg will be impacted.

This legislative session, the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce joined several Pinellas chambers on a trip to Tallahassee to advocate for the legislative priorities of the business community. Representatives from the St. Petersburg Chamber championed the St. Petersburg Big Data Collaborative, reduction in the business rent tax, Pinellas County incubator and the Warehouse Arts District. To view the Chamber’s 2016 Legislative Agenda, visit stpete.com/legislative-priorities.

The Legislative Reception offers an interactive opportunity to discuss business victories and ongoing priorities from members of the Pinellas County Legislative Delegation. Topics of discussion will include the 2016-2017 state budget and continue the conversation on legislation and funding requests that didn’t make it out of the 2016 session.

This is an opportunity to connect with Senator Jeff Brandes, Representative Kathleen Peters, Representative Dwight Dudley and Representative Darryl Rouson.
