Clearwater Marine Aquarium Hosts Deaf Awareness Celebration

Clearwater, FL (September 11, 2015) – In celebration of National Deaf Awareness Month Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA), a marine life rescue center, will feature activities for the hearing and deaf communities to enjoy together on September 18 and 19.
For two days, CMA presentations and demonstrations will be interpreted into American Sign Language (ASL) for aquarium guests. In collaboration with the Deaf Literacy Center (DLC) and St. Petersburg College (SPC), volunteer interpreters will be joining CMA staff as they engage with guests throughout the day.
To give everyone the opportunity to enjoy this special event, tickets have been reduced to $5 per person when purchased in advance online.
