Looking for a fiendishly good time?

Come dance at MFA St. Pete with your closest zombie friends.

We’ll be strutting our stuff on the steps of the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg to Michael Jackson’s famous “Thriller” dance this Halloween season, and we’re inviting you to the first annual MFA St. Pete Zombie Thriller Dance.

Ghouls and zombies of all ages and dancing abilities are invited to take part in this free event in downtown St. Petersburg. The performance will be on Wednesday, October 24 (four shows at 6:30, 7, 7:30 and 8 p.m.), but we’re holding rehearsals every Thursday until then to get ready.

Rehearsals are being held at the MFA every Thursday night (September 27, October 4, October 11, October 18) from 6-7:30 p.m.

St. Pete Zombie and choreographer Jesse Miller will help dancers learn the steps, and handouts will be provided for at-home rehearsals. Screenings of the “Thriller” video each rehearsal night will offer an opportunity for a quick dance-along. No prior registration is required, and dancers do not have to attend rehearsals every week to participate in the performance. Participants should wear comfortable shoes.

On performance night (October 24), the MFA will provide makeup artists and appropriate graveyard clothes for participants, or dancers can create their own ghoulish look.
