City Encourages Participation in Sustainability Survey

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (January 18, 2018) - Through January 31, the city of St.
Petersburg is asking for your help in developing an action plan for a safe, sustainable city with a brief survey. The survey, available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/StPeteISAP, seeks to gather information on the city's current state of sustainability and quality of life, as well as identify future areas of opportunity and improvement. Information collected will be used to develop an Integrated Sustainability Action Plan (ISAP), which will guide city departments in providing sustainable services to citizens and businesses.

The survey asks for input related to where respondents live, work and play in St. Petersburg, identifying key components of a sustainable city: safe, affordable neighborhoods, clean streets and waterways, accessibility to parks and green spaces, better jobs, arts, culture, and recreational opportunities.
Respondents may also share opinions on what makes St. Pete great, as well as ways the city can improve.

The survey is one part of the city's multi-pronged sustainability and resiliency data collection effort to draft an ISAP, which began in September 2017. Other public participation opportunities include technical, business, and other stakeholder groups, a regional "green ribbon" executive committee, as well as public workshops, open houses, and community forums.

Questions and comments about the survey may be addressed to StPeteISAP@vhb.com. For information about the city of St. Petersburg's Sustainability and Resiliency program or the ISAP, visit www.stpete.org/sustainability.
