Catalina Marketing executive joins St. Petersburg Free Clinic’s Board of Directors
Catalina Marketing’s Executive Vice President Tamara Meyer adds legal expertise to the Board

St. Petersburg, Fla. (December 22, 2016) – St. Petersburg Free Clinic has appointed Catalina Marketing executive Tamara Meyer to its Board of Directors. Board members provide oversight and input on strategy for St. Petersburg Free Clinic, which provides food, shelter and healthcare services for Pinellas County residents.

Meyer is executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for St. Petersburg-based Catalina Marketing. In leading its global legal function, she serves as a strategic adviser on a range of domestic and international matters, along with managing its business development functions. Meyer is a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team and she serves as the Board Chair of the Catalina Marketing Corporate Foundation.

Prior to joining Catalina Marketing in 2015, Meyer was the division senior vice president and chief litigation counsel for Health Care Service Corporation, which operates Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans in Illinois, Texas, Montana, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

“Tamara’s extensive legal and health care expertise will be extremely valuable in helping advance the Free Clinic’s mission of serving our neighbors in need,” said Beth Houghton, executive director of St. Petersburg Free Clinic.

Board members are elected for a three-year term, and take an active role in fundraising and strategic planning. During their tenure, they are responsible for monitoring the implementation of plans, policy and fiscal matters; serving on organizational committees; and helping to build connections in order to raise awareness about the Free Clinic’s eight programs.

Earlier this year, the Free Clinic appointed Marylou Bourdow, Barbara Baccari and Kimberly Jackson to its 21-member Board of Directors.
