American Stage presents IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY

American Stage presents IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY this Holiday season!

St. Petersburg, FL
– American Stage will continue its holiday tradition with its second annual IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY by Joe Landry. This holiday production will run from December 10th thru December 24th, 2016.

This nostalgic take on a holiday classic will transport audiences to a 1940’s soundstage where six actors will recreate the beloved story of purpose, love, and family. The production features VC Heidenreich*, Jim Sorensen*, Becca McCoy*, Colleen Cherry McCoy and Dean Wick.

"IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY takes this beloved Frank Capra classic and, through the power of live theatre, creates a magical story-telling experience,” says Producing Artistic Director and production director Stephanie Gularte.

“This holiday season as we are recovering from a difficult and divisive election year, we are particularly looking forward to sharing this life-affirming story that celebrates the power of community with our audiences. We are thrilled to bring back this production that captivates the imagination through inventive and joyful storytelling for all ages.”

This beloved American holiday classic comes to life as a live, captivating 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage and live, on-stage sound effects, the story of the idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.
